About

The Don hill station is a scenic landscape located near Saputara and is perched on the border of Gujarat and Maharashtra and around 30km from Ahwa, the headquarter of the Dangs. It is situated on a plateau in the forest vicinity of the Sahayadri mountain range in the Dangs district at an altitude of about 1070 meters. Being very slightly populated it comprises of dense forest and water reservoirs.

It’s still hidden from the tourists’ focus. The department of Roads and Building (R & B) of the Dang district administration has carried out a survey and officially declared Don village as the peak point of Gujarat state.

Trekking in Don

Aarohan Adventures has set some very exciting trekking routes in the vicinity of dense forests. The trekkers will come across numerous small water streams along the route. The rain makes this trek more adventurous and challenging. During monsoon period dark clouds passes by near the peak and the enthralling view from the peak point is worth the climb. Several species of snakes can also be seen during the trek. The area is rich with diversified flora and gives spectacular views to the trekkers. The trek is designed in such a way that it serves as a perfect kick-start for beginners and trekkers get complete exposure to nature.

Participation fees includes:

Transportation from Surat to Surat.
Pure vegetarian food. Jain food available on pre notice.(breakfast, lunch and dinner)
Guide fees.

Who can participate?

Any one who is physically and medically fit can participate in this trek.
Age Limit: 15 years and above.
Note: For participants below 18 years of age, parents signature will be required in the application form.

Registration will be on the basis of first come first serve only.

Cancellation policy:

50% of the participation fees will be refunded if cancellation is requested 7 days before the trek.
No refund will be provided after that.

Dress Code

Full/Half sleeve T-shirt, Full length lower/trek pant (advised to avoid 3/4th/capree or sleeveless tops due to forest trail), Shoes, Cap.

Things to carry

Bag Pack of sufficient size, sun cap, shoes, two pairs of cotton socks, empty lunch box, water bottle, spoon, small knife, Raincoat, small size towel, torch, camera/mobile (if one wishes to bring along at their own risk), One extra pair of clothes (optional)

Notice for Participants

Smoking, use of alcohol and narcotics of any description is strictly prohibited during the course of the program.
Deviation from the set route of the program is not permitted. If participants may wish to join any other activity, they may do so at their own responsibility and organization will not be responsible for any damage or harm caused.
